Re: Hungarian AF Bf 109G

Yo Cruv!

I'm gonna have to take the pics of the Romanian Bf-109 tonight; my first batch of pics didn't turn out too well. I'm not too good at getting close-ups with a digital camera. I will try again later.

I don't mean to preempt you, Rush but I had this shot on file from the Flying Mule:

By the way, that Witty sports a pretty poor paint job. The color on the side of the fuselage seems way too light and the mottling is hideous.

I was wondering about that... I noticed during the first round of picture taking that the colors varied quite a bit when I used the flash vs. taking a pic with the flash off. I wonder if the pic above was taken using a flash. If so, I wonder if that could account for the coloring discrepancy? Although, that still wouldn't explain the mottling...

Re: Hungarian AF Bf 109G

I like the Rumanian Michaels Cross a bit more than the later roundels.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Me too. By the way, the roundels were actually a reversion to pre-war markings.

After you mentioned the Squadron Rumanian Air Force Prime Decade issue, had to dig my copy out and look at it. Saw a couple of photos with the P.Z.L. P.37 Los in Rumanain markings. Might have to consider getting another one of those kits and do one up sporting the Michaels Crosses on it.
