They have lots of jets listed in their catalogue. I really want to see those.

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I think the original poster needs a reality check. What do you expect for a pre-built and painted plane that retails for less than a model kit of the same scale?

Don't you think the quality control issues are largely due to the fact that they are mass-manufacturing dozens of variants of each of the HUGE number of plane types being manufactured all at the same time? If there's a smudge, exchange it for a new one. If the cockpit isn't detailed enough for you, do it yourself. If it isn't heavy enough for you, put a lead weight in it. If you think it's fragile, don't handle it so much! It's an assembled model kit, not a toy!

By all means, go ahead and wait for years for releases of some of these birds that may never come. I for one am happy with my 2 x Bf 109s, pink Spitfire, P-51D, P-40B/C and am especially impressed with my F4U-1D. The Corsair weighs enough to seem like it's diecast and it puts a lot of other company's releases to shame.

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

1st of all, they have not released most of the announced unusual models, There main line consist of P-47, P-51, BF109, Wildcat, Corsair, Hellcat, FW190, Hurricane, P-40, Spitfire, all done in diecast and not much more money for something nice, heck the Forces of Valor models from Target are 100 times nicer in metal for a dollar or two more. Anyone who wants to collect these lightweight pieces of poop has to be living in there own crazy world. I picked up some IXO lately for $15.00 each, and they are 10 times nicer than these. The reason I posted was someone on here was raving about these. Even the prop feels like a giant piece of crap, how do they make plastic feel even cheaper than ? plastic????? Try and spin the prop it will almost break off, and barely spins? Look at the wings and tail areas you will see just how lousy unpainted styrene can look. Look at where one color changes to another, yuckkkkkkkk.

At $5.99 retail these would be interesting, anything more they are a waste of money.

New announced releases, not seen anywhere since the announcement a year ago.

Texan, why would anyone want a $14.00 version of this when you can get the excellent Hobby Masters for under $20.00???

A ton of other announcements with no show at retail for any of the cooler planes.

Cmon IXO go ahead and do some more semi accurate great looking heavy diecast oddball aircraft.

Biggie, if you don't like EM, don't buy 'em. Get your hate on somewhere else. Last time I checked, the Model Hangar is about celebrating a hobby. It is not a soapbox for people's indignant whining.

Maybe you should try buying them from retailers that aren't trying to rip you off? I haven't had to pay more than $8 for any of mine - thankfully, I've gotten really low shipping prices when I order them directly from Chinese retailers, and I always order more than one at a time.

Man, you sound so upset at Easy Model - do you work for one of its competitors? Or are you just upset that you bought so many at once without checking one out in person first?

5 for $40 comes out to $8.00, actually......

I saw that the catalog stated 2007-2008. I'll have to recheck the various forum threads to verify this, but I thought that most of the list of releases was for 2008, not 2007. I thought I read that the jets (which I'm waiting to see) will start showing up in the spring...

My bad. I thought he was paying more than that, because I thought $8 was a great deal. I guess he doesn't agree.

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I dont hate em, and I am not a competitor. But based in info and pics I got me some and they look so bad in person, I wanted to warn others.

Heck I wish the Helis were less money, they looks pretty neat in the pics, but once again I wonder if they look that good in hand, or are they just like the planes real thing plastic unpainted peices of poop ? :-)

Chairman Milo, sounds quite dictatorial to me. I'm of the opinion that Biggie has every right to express his opinion. If he hates them that is his perogative.

You further insult him with assinine commentary regarding a possible affilation to a competitor(s). Your rebuke is quite shrill and not quite in keeping

with the good intent of this forum.
