Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I think it depends on the model.. Many Easy Model planes are well made, and look good, while others look terrible..
Easy model does have its drawbacks, but stick a good Easy Model plane in with Dragon, Corgi and HM and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference without picking it up..

Cool Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I much prefer EMs to IXOs as gap fillers (I got rid of all my IXOs but 2 : the Hs 129 & Do 335 !)

EM's Helicopters are quite nice, and some of their planes too.

This is my rating of the planes I own :

F4U4 : Excellent value for money. Puts Corgi's to shame !
Mig 3 : Almost as good as the F4U4.
P40E, Yak 3, Me 109 G14 : Decent.
Hurricane : Most disappointing.
P39 : Bad

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

Here's my latest MRC MS-406 after a bit of fixing. Not bad for $11-12.

The problems with the EM P-39 for me are it's a tail sitter, they didn't paint the roll over arch on the canopy, and you have lop off the gun pods to make it an N, and cut off the gun barrels in the wing to make it a Q.

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I am a big easy model fan but a few of their aircraft should be avoided. The spitfire canopy and landing gear are IXO bad. the only passable hurricane is the black one and the P-51 Ds canopy fail me (I have hope for their coming P-51Bs

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I have seen these models and I find some of them well made and others need to be recycled. It depends on the model.

(BTW I don't own any Easy Models)

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I got a few of the Easy Models, don't mind them at all. As others as said they make good place holders for future diecast releases.

Re: Easy Models look and feel Cheap

I have 2 Mustangs and a Wildcat and plan on getting more.
My local store carries them so I can check them out first, but I like 'em.

Thank you leeG for answering for me.

In spite of their flaws, I like my 2 MS406 very much !
