Re: great looking easy models

There plastic pieces of crap, I saw some of the new models at the Chino Air Show and they arent even all assembled, there in a few pieces and you snap them together.

I gotta tell you even from a few feet away you can tell they are chinzy plastic, some parts not colored correctly on the ones I saw.

Pass

Give me the 4 pounder IXO anytime.

Re: great looking easy models

easy models have much better planes than IXO. compare any of the IXO (with your glasses on this time) and there is no question easy models are far more detailed and accurate. thank you

Don't beat around the bush, tell us how you really feel about them. I hate subtlety.

Re: great looking easy models

I definitely wouldn't say they are "crap" because I have a few in my collection.. But these are plastic, so they don't get the praise they would if they were metal but I think they are comparable to Witty/IXO, and even some others as these blend into my collection well enough that you can't tell which is which..

Re: great looking easy models

Here, here Harry...I couldn't agree more. I have a few in my collection myself, and if you put those Easy Models next to the diecast ones it's pretty hard to tell sometimes that they weren't made from
the same mould, in my humble opinion.

I don't believe those were MRC "Easy Models" that you saw, as I have quite a few in my collection and every single one of them has come fully assembled. As stated above, the quality is somewhat comparable to several of the major diecast manufacturers and fit nicely into my collection amongst all the metal. Personally, I consider their F4U one of the nicest on the market; metal or plastic.

Re: great looking easy models

I think what Flaps saw were "EZ-Build" models. Now those are rather crappy indeed, with very few exceptions, and do require some assembly.

Very different than MRC Easy Models. I don't own any yet, but have seen pictures and I'm tempted, given the prices...

Re: great looking easy models

I had my glases on , ha ha ha and they look like total low end crap to me. They wanted $12.00 each. From around 25 feet away I got all excited then as I got closer and saw how chinzy they were I had too pass. As I was leaving I saw the pkg with the plane in 4 or more pieces ???

Pass Pass Pass on these model/toys

They said MRC Easy Models on them, but maybe you are correct, maybe they were indeed what you say, the lady at the table said they had just gotten them in and the sign and pkg said MRC ???
