Welcome to the forum! Yes, I am looking forward to the ME-163 as well as the HE-162 also. Even if they are plastic. I love both of those littl' buggers.

AH yes, Black 6, what a superb machine. Good old Russ Snadden did the best restoration of an old warbird I have ever seen. I saw Black 6 sitting dead and silent at the Hendon museum last year.
After watching Charlie Brown displaying it to its best it was sad to see it no longer flying. Its such a shame that future generations will not have the pleasure of seeing and hearing that wonderfull plane. The DB engine sounds awesome at full throttle.

Maybe it would still be flying if Charlie had been the only pilot allowed to fly it. (I know it was only going to be allowed one more season but I think they could have been talked into extending that).

I took a video of the aircraft and got some good shots of the engine when they were doing a pre flight check. Every now and again I put on the video and enjoy the moment.

God Bless America.

Betcha wouldn't have wanted to fly one. Too many pilots disappeared inside that cockpit. only hair and teeth left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
