New MRC Easy Models , H-34 & Subs

Saw a newsletter pre-ordering Sikorski H-34 / S-58 models & a few modern Submarines which I'm sure are 1/700 not the listed scale of 1/72 ,

Wow, I really like those. I think I'll give in to Easy Models, I've been able to resist thus far.

Re: New MRC Easy Models , H-34 & Subs

I'm sure they are based on the Italeri / German Revell kit which is great model also I think it's cool that they picked a 50s/60's Helicopter instead of another AH-64 or HH-60 now about a H-21 or H-19 or using the Italeri kit a few Douglas B-26 Invaders ,
Cheers,

I want a U.S. Navy SH-34 scheme, like the type used for the Mercury spacecraft recoveries..

Re: New MRC Easy Models , H-34 & Subs

Saturday I got the german and french navy versions (the US versions were not yet in store). I like them but they're certainly not perfect. As you can expect it's all plastic and quite light. The painted bits look nice but some parts are molded in the orange or yellow color (which gives the part also a plastic look). I don't know what mold they took....but it had to be a gunship version because all SH-34 versions cary guns in the fixed open door...which is a bit odd for SAR versions... Positive points are the overall looks, the niice colorschemes, the fact that they do have interior and that they made two versions (on the french and german SH-34 the exhaust pipe is placed in a different position).

Considering the low price (in holland about 16 euros) I very pleased with the models.
