Question Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

Very nice MoMo. I assume these are plastic and not diecast?

Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

Yes, ZS Van, they are all built versions of " Trumpeter " plastic kits. Same idea as Dragon, but not as nicely detailed or weathered, but outstanding value for money at about £6-£7 pounds in the U.K. market.

They just showed up on Model Hobbies U.K. site.

There are many more M113s, Shermans and a couple of Challengers which I didn't copy to the post. Many members of the forum have the earlier Easy Model releases and they are happy with the price and subject. Easy seem to cover a wide variety of finishes. Check out the other threads and postings on Easy Models.

Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

I should say that I got the new pics at Model Hobbies ( U.K. ) site. I can't post a link as it's a commercial site, but it's easy to find, and if you get into " New Products " you will see all the new Easy Model releases here.

I like the murderous looking Easy Eight with the Tiger's jaws!

Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

Wow, you guys are just now getting those in the UK??? These were out in the US and Asia in November (I thought in the UK too). There are a couple comparison pictures of them on the Diecast 72 comparisons page. They've already announced their upcoming releases which are listed below, all which most likely will be available in March some time. I have pictures of some of their upcoming releases which I hope to post in the next week or so.

Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

I picked up at least one each of the M113s when they came out (November?), and the Shermans have been at my local hobby shop for about a month, but he hasn't been able to get any Challengers yet.

I'm VERY happy with mine.

Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

MoMo,

I just checked a large online retailer in the UK that sells Easy Models tanks. They received all these releases back in November as well, so they are available in the UK around the same time as the US and elsewhere. The company is called Hannants and easy to find using a Google search.

It sounds like your local model shops get stock months after everyone else so you may want to check out Hannants. I ordered some things from them last year and had it from the UK to the US in less than a week.

Re: New Easy Models Tanks.

Thanks, LegioLXXll,

it appears that I hit on a site which had REDUCED the prices of these tanks. They had been selling them for £ 7.50 and had reduced them to £6.75,.

As Model Hobbies had put them in its NEW PRODUCTS section, I assumed that they were new products! In fact, you are correct and they are really NEW OFFERS.

I got fooled because I hadn't seen this lot before.

Still, the pics are nice!

cheers,

MoMo
