So they are "plastic" !

Especially since some of the "diecast" are now probably 95% plastic.

"Diecast" is no proper name for them , what brand ?

Re: Should Easy Models have a topic heading?

I have about 12 of them, even though they are plastic. They have some great moulds and more importantly, they have the liveries that no one else will do. Most of mine are Russian or others that are unique. Not about to change over to them as a main source, but I do enjoy them.

As a note, if you try to buy the Finnish Hurricane with the Swastika's in blue, the plane comes with a blue square over the swastika's that you have to soak/scrap off with your fingernail.

I'd say yes to a topic heading and also one for Gemini Warbirds.

May the farts be with you, and not me.

Re: Should Easy Models have a topic heading?

Do they really blend in well with the diecast planes if you need to fill in the gaps to your collection ?

Sure! Heck in the case of the Mustangs and 109's some look better than my Corgi's. Not so much up against the Dragon birds.
Easy Model subjects certainly add to the number of paint schemes in my collection. The yellow wing Wildcat looks great w/ my Hobbymaster yellow wing Dauntless... @ least until Dragon does that scheme!

Though on the Mustangs the canopies seem a bit under sized (too narrow).

Re: Should Easy Models have a topic heading?

Well then you mates just gave me a good idea how to fill in the gaps of my collection of 1/72nd.
Nice picture of the two side by side.

Re: Should Easy Models have a topic heading?

They're cool little birds. I have the Russ. Hurricane & Finnish Hurr. many others too.

Where else you gonna get a Croatian 109 or a Emperor Helcat? Love 'em

The North African 109 with the speckle paint and yellow nose has a sand filter and may be as good as the Corgi when hit with a little Dull Cote.

Hear that Corgi???? A SAND FILTER!!!

Yes they are a tad bit shinny for my tastes, but no big deal. And I agree! That "Emperor" Hellcat is Sooooo cool! I also really like the grey Naval reserve Corsair... plain jane but still nice!
And don’t forget the Croatian 109 and Mig 3!!!
