| I had some friends and their wives over this afternoon to watch the Army-Navy game. My guys lost. However, they were impressed with one thing: the price differential ![]() | |||||||||||||

| Re: Easy Models getting the eyeball test I couldn't agree with you more stalag. EasyModel does a remarkable job for the price. It's probably easier to work in plastic then in metal, and material costs are less. I have two P-40B/C models and they blend in with my Corgi diecast P-40s. For the purist who "must" have diecast models, EasyModel may not be a viable option. But I like planes and while I prefer diecast, I'll buy a nice looking EasyModel version if a diecast version isn't available or if I see one I like better than the diecast version. | |||||||||||||

| I dont buy it, I got a couple of Easy Models because of the price, they are so lightweight I can se right thru some parts of the plastic, not for me, rather pay a few more bucks and get something awesome in diecast. Also no stand, no gear options, lousy packaging. Just my two cents, Flaps | |||||||||||||

| Re: Easy Models getting the eyeball test Easy model is much like IXO.. Get the planes to fill the gaps and leave the rest.. As with IXO, Easymodel makes some nice stuff and they make some not-so-nice stuff.. | |||||||||||||

All the ones I've bought have come with stands. Are there some without them?

| Re: Easy Models getting the eyeball test I agree some of these easy models do fill in the gap and there's no telling which is which once you hit it with a little Dullcoat. It works for me. JP | |||||||||||||

| Filling the Gap I just received two Hawks/Warhawks P-40s. They are sweet and will add to my collection. I have looked at all the hoopla about the FOV P-40. Why not the same for White 38? It certainly exists. Can it be found in diecast metal? End of story. Oh, I just ordered the Soviet P-40. I haven't seen that one in diecast metal yet either. Someday? Like waiting for Jersey Jerk in 1/72: when hell freezes over? I am glad for Model Rectifier/Easy/Trumpeter. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Easy Models getting the eyeball test I love 'em. My Finnish Hurricane is one of my favorite models period. As for Russian birds or Russian versions of other allied birds, there's really no other choice and they fill in nicely. The Emperor Hellcat is a fantastic plane and may even survive the HM release. I have stayed away from the 109s as I believe that someday I will be able to have nearly every desireable one in diecast b/c of their popularity. If they made a Yellow 14 I might have to get it though. | |||||||||||||

That P-40 you just ordered a co-worker at work has one and he fooled me for a min there thinking it as a diecast because he used the Dullcoat like i do on some of them........Jersey Jerk.....Try "The Lord Is My Shepard" in 1/72. JP

Yes, I am the same way! I have around 20 of various types and very happy with them! Great detail and you can't touch them for the price! Even a "do it yourself" plastic kits costs that much alone and that's without the paints and glue AND time! ![]()
