Easy Model Shermans

There are some on eBay again. No sign of the German 12.8cm. I wonder when we will see these here. It will be interesting to compare the Easy Model Shermans to the Dragon and CDC Shermans.

I'm not familiar with this particular AFV, does anyone know when, how and where this was used? It's very unique and is a must have IMO!

Fought in the Stalingrad area, only 2 models produced. One was destroyed in combat and the other captured. The program ended and production of the Tiger 1 began. It was another long range tank destroyer that was really just too big. One of them had at least 22 kill markings on the barrel before it's eventual demise.

Thx for the pics, Legio. Where do you find the sherman tanks? I cannot find them available in any online or local stores...

Re: Easy Model Shermans

I love the Sherman tank. It is my favorite tank. Iknow it may not be the best, the fastest, or the prettiest, but it is cool.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Easy Model Shermans

One of the new easy model firefly is named "Sherman Victory", it has a tiger mouth painted in front. Does anybody knows any background/history about this specific paint scheme?

Re: Easy Model Shermans

Hi Jetlover,

They're starting to become available in Asia. I have a contact there that keeps me in the loop with things so sent the pictures my way. They should start becoming easier to find in the next couple weeks.

That would be a Sherman that fought in Korea. US tankers would often paint them up like that to frighten/intimidate the NK & Chinese troops, the reasoning being that they were mostly undertrained uneducated draftees from rural areas and highly superstitious and susceptible to modern heavy armor. There are many pics of various schemes like this around.

Something to chew up those t-34/85s. I like it.
