Re: Easy Models

And they are no worse looking than some more expensive diecast planes out there. The EasyModel P-40B is great planenuts! I've played around with the two that I have (new paint, markings, some added details) and they give my Corgi & IXO diecast P-40s a run for the money. In fact, you can't even tell them apart from the metal planes.

I have the Soviet one on its way. It was the price that tempted me, it can always be used for the cats to play with if I dont like it.

Jim, IMHO, you'll like it. I like mine, anyway, though, as I've stated before, I'm not as picky as some. But I think they look good!

Re: Easy Models

OK, I admit, I’m new to Easy Plastic models; but I just purchased (on the web) every last Soviet aircraft they make, in every livery. I realize I’m taking a risk, ‘cause I haven’t eyeballed these models up close and personal. But judging from various pics, they look terrific, plastic or not.

Not to mention that it’ll probably be a long time (if ever) until somebody issues a Soviet Hurricane or Fw-190D or P-40. Besides, how bad can they be compared to IXO?

Even if they’re not spectacular, they’re probably more than passable (I hope, I hope, I hope). Truth be known, I’m really looking forward to getting them. Here's to keeping my metal fingers crossed.

Did I just make the biggest, most egregious mistake of all time????

Re: Easy Models

A shot of dullcoat and hard if not impossible to tell from Corgi, Dragon, et al until you pick them up.

Exactly, almost need to pick them up to tell. Even more difficult after dullcoat.

Thanks, wmosner. Makes me feel a bunch more confident that I didn’t blow it. In fact, if the Soviet planes look that good, I’m thinkin’ I made a heck of a decision. Bring ‘em on!!!!!!!!!

Cool Re: Easy Models

Gort,
I have 19 Easy Models in my hanger, and with some dull coat they look very nice. BTW, the Yak-3 by Easy Models really shows how badly the same aircraft when done by IXO. The Yak-3 by IXO may be their worst issue, IMHO.
