Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

They look pretty nice. I wonder how good the details are.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

From the pics on diecast72.com; the easy models sherman seems to have only 1 top hatches instead of two(compared to matchbox and dragon shermans).

In additional, the easy model firefly does not has the "counterweighting" to the rear of the turret, like the dragon firefly has. So is the easy model firefly wrong?

Hope some armor expert can answer this questions. Thanks in advance.

Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

I got these and the german panzerjaeger. Pretty nice models, they really look the part. Not as nice as Dragon, but you can't tell the difference at arms length, and they are better than the old Aoshimas. The painting and weathering is very nicely done. The 75 Sherman does have only one turret hatch, though the 76 has 2. The 75's gun elevates, though the 76 and the panzer do not. The panzer looks very impressive next to the shermans. Too bad about its gun being stuck in raised elevation.

Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

I do have 2 of the Easy Models. Pretty good detail, but extremely light-weight.

Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

I added a few comparison pictures to the site yesterday comparing a Corgi & Easy Models Sherman (both single hatch versions). Below is one of the pictures. The Corgi Sherman is more 1/76 scale so slightly smaller than the 1/72 scale Easy Models Sherman. I have pictures between Easy Models & Dragon Armor Shermans which I will post towards the end of this week.

Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

I wouldnt put money on that Starman, what makes you think you will ever get all the planes you want? I said that but they just keep bringing out more and more must haves..... We are doomed to collect forever!!!

Re: Easy Model Sherman - first pics!

I think the biggest plus for the Easy Model Sherman is that there is a M4A3E8. No one has come out with one of these in 1/72 yet, so it fills a whole. Mine should arrive tomorrow or Wednesday, along with the 12.8 German self propelled. Speaking of which, does anyone have any opinions on this piece?
Thanks,
Eric
