MD, y'all go 'n "'Hurry Home" now y'hear - Old Crow it shall be ...

Yep, looks like the decision has been made for him. I personally was the 11th vote for Old Crow with invasion stripes myself.

Elmer, do you have the Maridor Spit yet?

Yes... and no! I ordered it, it arrived with dark blotches (blood or paint) on the spinner, glue glob on the canopy door and an oily residue all over the upper wing surfaces and fuselage. Geez Louize! Kind of soured me a bit. Anyway, I returned it for exchange; the exchange model hasn't arrived yet. I've lately had a run of bad luck QC problems with models. About the only recent purchase that hasn't had a damned QC problem was the Hackl 109 which I got at Tuesday Morning.

I'm sure your replacement Maridor Spit will be fine Elmer ... it looks particularly good 'in-flight' .

(Watch out for those wingtips though as they fall off quite easily.)

Oops!! Just realized we weren't talking about RC planes, but anyway, my 2 cents below.

There aren't any diecast of his plane either that I know of.

I vote The West By Gawd Virginian because it's pilot Robert "Punchy" Powell lives 10 minutes from my house, and is a good friend of mine. There are NO known flying replicas of this aircraft either.

There's plenty of Old Crow, Cripes A Mighty and some of the others listed, but not any of Punchy's plane. It would be nice, while he's still alive and well, for him to see that happen.

Check the Ebay Listings forum for the latest diecast model listings on eBay.

I vote for the Old Crow w/ invasion stripes. This would be one of the best models in diecast. The sample pic looks awesome. Would be great to see that plane from Eagles International.
