I haven't heard much other than the later Texan schemes are on hold.

Re: Any updates on the AT-6

Why wouldn't they make more? The silver USAAF T-6 is the most important one there is. It is that scheme that taught every pilot in WWII how to fly. All ove the other schemes are cool, but when it comes to historical stand point, we have not recieved the most important one.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

I would imagine that if you don't have enough preorders to sell them, then it doesn't justify making them either, but that is just speculation on my part.

I fully agree with you. I do not like the overdone riveting on the EI T-6, but if I ever bring myself to buy one, it would be the one you describe ( say, one similar to the one HM did in 1:72 ).
One of the reasons why EI may not be making this palne yet is that they seem to like their Texans armed to their teeth ( bombs, rear guns, etc ) which I think is silly since it was mostly a trainer. Hence they are priorotizing other versions.

Re: Any updates on the AT-6

I suspect OMI will not go forward with the other four releases; I partly suspect this because OMI has pulled the listing for preorders for these Texans' some time ago, and has not restored the listings.

Re: Any updates on the AT-6

My thoughts at the time when I heard they were going to make a AT-6 Trainer was that this was a poor choice. With all the other WWII aircraft possibilities out there I wished they would of picked something else. I suppose now that with this failure they won't be planning any other new models. I hope I'm wrong.

Hopefully thay have realised how meaningless some of their forthcoming schemes were and they are replacing them by propper ones.
