Complete List Of All EI 'Stangs Wanted

I have had "Shangri-La" for a few years now and think it is one of the best models I own (next to my Zero of course). So I finally decided to add some P-51's. I just bought "Patty Ann II" and am waiting for it to arrive next week. I'm afraid I can't stop now! I'd like to work from a complete list with production runs if anyone can help before there all gone. "Buddy Archer's" seems harder to find now.

Re: Complete List Of All EI 'Stangs Wanted

Thanks AA - They made six versions. "Shangri-La" had the largest production run with 1,404. "Ding Hao" had the fewest made with 504. Why was "Glamorous Glenn" cancelled?!!! Has anyone obtained a "custom model" and how much are they? I'm thinking of adding "Ding Hao" to the line-up.

Check Perry Aircraft Hobbies. After a fairly exhaustive search last month, this was the best deal I found... but you can still find it at other dealers as well.

This is a custom model of EI P-51C of George Preddy's 'Cripes a Mighty" made by Harry.
She is my favorite 1:48 to date.
Bluenoser rules....
*Note:This is the correct blue for the Bluenoser for that time frame.

Re: Complete List Of All EI 'Stangs Wanted

That is a great looking model STARMAN! Is the blue paint color correct on the "Patty Ann II" or is it suppose to match "Preddy's"?

There were actually two different colors of blue.. The lighter blue was used primarily on the B/C versions and the darker blue was used when the later D versions came into service, some B/C versions also carried the later darker blue because they were still in use when the conversion was made. Not sure of actual date though...

I can't get Perry's site to come up. Anyone know what's going on with them? Are they out of business or are they down for maintenance? I haven't been able to get their site to load in the last couple of weeks.

Come to think of it... I tried to visit several days ago and the site was down. I figured it was just down for routine maintenance and put it out of my mind. I am sure I have a telephone number if you want to give them a call.

Yes, nice choice, I am interested in this version as well. Tell us how it builds and how it looks, she's a looker!
