Re: Complete List Of All EI 'Stangs Wanted

Yes, nice choice, I am interested in this version as well. Tell us how it builds and how it looks, she's a looker!

I'll chime in Ara! Patty Ann II and INA the Macon Belle are the finest models in my collection. I may be a bit biased because I am a 1:48 fan, and clearly, the mighty North American P-51 Mustang is my favorite aircraft ever built.

As far as build, they go together fine, no difficulty, but they do suffer a bit from slight fit issues at the wing root and the radiator housing unit... the fit problem is kinda endemic to the engineering/design of the models, I think. But, once set up, they are mighty impressive displays, as you put it "lookers."

Thanks Elmer, but I think I stole the quote from you in a Buffalo thread regarding the red chevron jobber coming out in January...

When I finally decide to pull the trigger on an EI Mustang there won't be any left... and I only want the B/C version...

I dunno... maybe it's because when I'm shaken, I hear loose parts rattling around upstairs...

Re: Complete List Of All EI 'Stangs Wanted

This is a custom model of EI P-51C of George Preddy's 'Cripes a Mighty" made by Harry.
She is my favorite 1:48 to date.
Bluenoser rules....
*Note:This is the correct blue for the Bluenoser for that time frame.

STARMAN - Which livery did you have repainted? Was it a duplicate of "Patty Ann II"? What is your favorite Mustang livery besides your pretty Preddy model?

Nice KK! Great collection of Eagles!

The only drawback I see to Eagles is the heavy gunpowder marks on the wings. It's tough to call from viewing photos; do you have an opinion on how the actual model looks with this effect?

I think Harry used the Polish P-51 for my Preddy bird.
My other favorite would have to be Gentile's P-51B "Shangri-La" and a close 2nd would be the Patty-Ann Mustang and Buddy Archer's Tuskegee Mustang.

George Preddy was......Just the greatest fighter pilot who ever squinted through a gunsight.
He was a complete fighter pilot.......Colonel John C. Meyer Deputy Commander of the 352nd.

Do you have the Polish Mustang too? I think you have all of them - right?
