G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. model!

(Thanks for letting me borrow it for a bit, Black6 -- btw, did you see I've moved and left no forwarding address? )

Re: Pics: Patty Ann II

I just got my model yesterday!! I could not be happier with it. In fact, among all 7 of my Franklin Mint planes this one stands out above, and beyond the rest. Patty Ann II is my favorite plane! I didn't know diecast could look so darn fantastic!

Pappy the pictures are brilliant. Excellent job capturing the details. It looks great in the photos, but I think this little baby looks even more amazing in person. I highly reccomend getting one IMMEDIATLY! lol !

One thing that I did not care for was putting her together. It was easy enough, but popping on the prop really freaked me out! A LOT of pressure to an itty-bitty part, I just knew I was going to break it. lol It finally snapped into place perfectly after hitting it with a sledge hammer. j/k It's fine.

Also the right tail fin isn't really secure. In fact, it fell off when I pulled it out of the box. It fits, but its loose. Should I spot a little glue on it? Recommendations for that?

Anyway, man, I feel kind of silly buying from FM all this time when something like this was available. EI has my favor at the moment. A Thunderbolt is next on my must have list. But please tell me they come pre-assembled, props and all!

I CAN'T STOP LOOKING AT IT!!!!

Yeah, Pappy, thanks for posting the pics. This model is amazing, I have enjoyed mine for about one year now... has been my favorite model (diecast or plastic) from the moment it arrived.

Snoopy... mine had the same minor problem with the right horizontal stab. I put it back in without glue, and it hasn't moved since then. I play with it occassionally too (strafing the cat!!!).
