The dope on the Texan (now w/ photos)

Well...Bad news.
I just talked to my dad, who's returning from the NY Toy Show, and all flights were grounded due to the snow. So, he's driving back 1400 miles, and most of the highways in that area are currently restricted to 35mph. Needless to say, since he has the first shots off of the new tooling with him, I won't be taking any pictures for you tonight.

Keep in mind that the sample's graphics are paper labels that have been applied mearly for mockup purposes and do not reflect what production units will look like. There are problems with some of the details, but I thought I'd give you a peak anyway.

10102 (North American SNJ-4C Texan 1939-41
U.S. Navy Gunnery Trainer "J-Bird") Pre-productions photograph, production units will vary.

That's kinda bad news, but at first look at your post I feared far worse...

And regarding the storm, yes we are getting creamed here at the moment.

We have about 8" here at KAGC near Pittsburgh.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: The dope on the Texan

Mom & Dad were stuck in the same spot on a highway in PA for 16 hours. At least the PA National Guard came by and gave them blankets. A friend of mine said that the traffic jam was on the national news. I feel so sorry for my mom having been stuck with my dad in a car for that long. I'm sure some new words were born that night. They are underway again and will hopefully make it back here Saturday afternoon.

So much for getting the scoop on NY Toy Fair Intel.

I'll post Texan pics as soon as I can get my hands on it.
