Re: The dope on the Texan

I was wondering whether Mark had any updates on the delays being experienced with the EI Texan/Harvard as well as the apparent increased prices for the EI 1/48 range . (Some info. on the P47 Thunderbolt would also be appreciated .)

Someone told me they are not coming out with the first release till Sept now.....This is a very long wait for that baby....As for the price i pre-ordered when it was lower...So i was told that price will stand.

Re: The dope on the Texan

Sorry for the delays fellas. I just got word from the factory that the first two Texans will ship on the 16th of this month. It'll take about twenty-eight days to get here so I expect to start shipping to customers around the second week of August.

Hurrah! Finally! But I'm sure it will have been worth the wait.

PS: Mark, a bit off topic, but any intel, even vague, about when the P-47 might come out?

Re: The dope on the Texan

Great news, Mark! I was ready to get the Hobby Master one (no offense meant here) but I really prefer this model in 1/48th scale.

For me there was never any doubt. I like HM a lot, but EI quality plus 1/48 scale meant that I was going to wait as long as it took.

Re: The dope on the Texan

E.I is awsome. I just hope to see the P-61, and A-26 some what in the near future.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
