Re: The dope on the Texan

Keep in mind that the sample's graphics are paper labels that have been applied mearly for mockup purposes and do not reflect what production units will look like. There are problems with some of the details, but I thought I'd give you a peak anyway.

Re: The dope on the Texan

Beautiful die-cast. What scale is it 1:72 or 1:48?

1/48th scale baby! I have four on pre-order.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

1:48

Mark... This pre-pro sample looks nicely detailed. The livery is beautiful--good choice! I am so happy that the ball is rolling toward production; I hope we can see the production models next month! Thanks for posting the pics; I have been eagerly awaiting this model since it was announced.

Can you tell us how the stand will fit into the fuselage?

The Texan model attaches to it's stand the same way the Mustang models did. However, there is no retractable tail wheel assembly on the Texan so we used a mounting point further forward on the underside of the fuselage. This recess will be disguised by an included panel when displayed on it's landing gear.

Note: The carburetor scoop is one of the main things that will be corrected.
