Which liveries interest you the most?

With regards to the "Razorback" P-47 Thunderbolt, P-61 Black Widow, and Hawker Typhoon.

What would you like to see? Research has already been done for these models, but we would like to get you input.

This is one of the most beautiful Typhoon models that I have ever seen and it's in 1/48.

If you could swing it, the weathering would be cool too!

Re: Which liverys interest you the most?

All I can say is if EI do a 1/48 scale Hawker Typhoon with rockets and D-Day invasion stripes they will fly off the shelves - no pun intended ...

One sheep to rule them all ...

Closterman's typhoon, but I have yet to find its livery. Closterman is a famous typhoon pilot. In France anyway.
He wrote "the big circus" about his experiences as a typhoon pilot

For the P-61 (this is going to be an awesome diecast to behold in 1:48th) I'd like to see her in "Times A' Wastin" nose art.

There are also plenty of P-61 schemes to peruse in the Hobby Master poll on the Blackwidow thread. I'd also love to see this particular one made:

Re: Which liverys interest you the most?

P-47: I would love a USAAF camofauged version, but I am not certain if I have ever seen a camo'd razorback.

Typhoon: Anything with invasion stripes.

P-61: Olive Drab (did these go into service by summer 44? If so, invasion stripes also)

Mark... Regarding the P-61, are you thinking of 1:72 or 1:48?

(I hope 1:48!!)

Re: Which liverys interest you the most?

Mark,

I too enjoy the Typhoon very much. Next I prefer the Thunderbolt. The P-61 is far down the list for me, behind an Avenger, Helldiver, Ju 88, and Do 17.

And with all respect to the admin's post, I vote for no weathering. Weathering is a very personal choice and tastes vary. If you do offer weathered finishes, consider no weathering as an option as well.

And the Tiffie looked just great w/o invasion stripes, too! I love all versions!

Best,

Ara
