(And someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe FM is using sticker decals anymore with its models, nor has it been for quite some time now... )

Oh no... go through the above posted thread. Now it may be true that water slide decals have been sharply reduced in the past few years... but their use has not been totally eliminated.

Re: Any intel on the EI T-Bolts?

As for your point about standards, well I don't think we have standards across the board with the other makers.

I agree... to a point. But, for example, the elimination of water slide decals and exposed screw heads are, for the most part, standardized across nearly all manufacturers.

Some are more perfect that others, but none are perfect and I don't really expect to ever see a perfect model.

You are so right, and I too never expect to see a perfect model.

I understand and respect your perspective, I just don't share it is all.

Thanks, Pappy. And... it is OK that we don't share the same perspective... actually probably quite heathly for our forum.

When did that model come out? 2006 or is it a 2007 release? (did have time to read through the thread again but I recall the issues)

Yeah, I think it comes from FM needing to more than one manufacturer but that's just a guess... some of the models have metal props, other are plastic. It's a crap-shoot, but I think it's less of one now than it was even a year or so ago. Perhapst that's wishful thinking. As for the screws... well... they're not going away anytime soon I think.

2006. It is possible that all the models released in 2007 have pad printed graphics, but someone with more knowledge than me would have to speak to this. But, even if they did, I think it will take more than one year to establish a precedent that the company has finally eliminated the practice of mixed pad printing and water-slide decals.

And I thought you had connections to the diecast gods, fly. Dang. FM's gaff with the Razorback hood makes the probable loss of the EI T-Bolt even more painful. Oh... pain, woe, and misery.
