Well that P47 really looked good! That in diecast would be absolutely awesome.

The diecast will undoubtably be very similar to the model as EI has been consistent with this in the past..

That's if it's fate is not yet in limbo... and no word or peep from EI regarding this diecast doesn't help at all!

I don't know how well their Texan is selling but I know this P-47D will sell at least as well as their P-51B. If Texan sales are slow, I hope that won't affect Thunderbolt production!

The Tbolt isn't in "limbo".. It is just waiting its turn.. What people need to realize is that EI is a small company that can only afford to produce planes in limited numbers.. The Texan seems to be selling well according to the owner, but he wants to get a few more liveries out before production on a new model can begin..

Re: Any intel on the EI T-Bolts?

I hope EI can and will release a 1:48 Razorback T-Bolt. If it can and will, I think it will not happen before 2009. Why? This is stricly a guess based on the company's release history so far:

Mustangs:
Shangri-La: released summer 2004
Mustang models 2 - 5 released in 2005
RAF Stang released early 2006

Texans:
First releases initially due Fall 2006, delayed until Spring 2007, then finally released late Summer 2007 (three years after the company's first release and one year after initially scheduled for release)
Releases 3 - 6 due December 2007

Based on the delays we have seen so far, and the history of the Mustang releases, I surmise that the remaining Texans will take most of 2008 to be released.

In the meantime, because the Razorback T-Bolt is a good candidate for a 1:48 release, EI's plans for it could be trumped by a bigger company that has the capital to produce the model more quickly. I hope I am wrong.

I agree, and me and Mhackl have been nudging the owner of EI to get more into production, and you're not so far off the mark because one of the next planes inline to be made was the Fw-190D-9, but that was cancelled when Carousel1 produced theirs...

Well now, EI should steal back C1's thunder by making the Fw-190G or F variants. But let EI get the P-47 released first....

Talking Re: Any intel on the EI T-Bolts?

Not much to add to the previous comments, other than I am also very much looking forward to EI's Thunderbolt. I have two Armour P-47D and they are OK, but I would certainly buy a couple of Razorbacks from EI when they come along, whether 2008 or in 2009.

I have two P-51Bs from EI and I am super happy with them. The second one arrived yesterday from the US ( the "Shangri la" ) and when I opened the box, it really made my day !! if the P-47 will be the same quality, it should be a winner.

In the same order I also go a C1 Fw-190D ( the "yellow D" ) and it was also as nice as you all said it was. Double happines !!

G.

E.I> should trump everyone and make a P-61 in 1/48th scale.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.
