How do ya like'em P51-b/c's?

I was considering getting a FM P51-d, but I just find too much wrong with it. So I'm thinking why not get a EI P51b instead, especially since the prices dropped. How do you guys like'em? I've compared the photos and it looks like they did a pretty bang-on job.

I'm considering the Shangrila or Patty Anne II. Anybody got photos of ones they own??

I have all the Eagle P-51B Mustangs and you will love them.
They are by far the best in the market for 1/48.

I agree. I have almost every FM "D" model as well. There really isn't any comparison in regards to detail. Too bad EI dosn't have a "D".

I have 3: Gentile, Horba, Archer's steed! The Eagles International P-51 B/Cs are IT for 1/48th scale analogous to Dragon's 1/72nd P-51s, imho. I held off getting the Gemini ACES P-51 B for the moment because I love the details so much on the EI 'Stangs ...mo better!

Eagles is the best hands down for the Mustangs.

They are superb -- well worth the dough... Here's a link to pics of the two I own: Shangri-la, and Horb...

:: Thanks for the photos and reviews. I think I'm gonna go with Shangri-la. Those photos were purtty.

I agree, I wish they would make a P51-D and a Corsair!

It's just too bad that EI dropped the ball with the tailwheel...It's like a big stain on an otherwise beautiful model.I can't help but be distracted by it..Looks like another ERTL subcontract job.

I guess it would just be too good if they got everything right...

True, but it's such a small part of the model especially if you display you models in flight like I do.

I do the same with mine ...Plus i like the way the stand fits in the tail wheel area too.
