Contacted OMI and they have replacement parts on the way and I did get that tail wheel out Hworth, thanks!

Glad to hear things are working out for you Wizard, as OMI is a great company to deal with..

Hey Guys,

I just showed my Patty Ann II to a new diecast collector and he loved it! He's considering which one to buy for himself.

Photos of my Mustang are here:

Way to spread the joy, Ara! By the way, those pictures you snapped are AWESOME; I enjoyed them even more the second time around. Thanks!

Thumbs up Re: How do ya like'em P51-b/c's?

I think the EI P-51B/C or in my case, the Mustang III, is a fantastic model. I just got the RAF Mustang III in Polish markings. They have taken the extra time to deal with all the details...something I have not seen in the FM models. The model appears to be very much to scale...even the wing cross section seems to be the right thickness. In 1/48 scale, I don't think you can do any better. In my limited experience as a diecast aircraft collector, Corgi has the best 1/32 scale Mustangs, EI has the best 1/48 scale Mustangs and I have to say it would be a toss-up between the new Gemini Mustangs and the Dragon Mustangs in 1/72 scale.
BOTTOM LINE: as our brothers have said over and over again in this thread....go for the EI P-51B/Cs as the best in 1/48 scale!!

Cheers,
Mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike. Here's my take on ALL the Mustang diecasts makers:
1/72nd: Dragon's P-51D Hammer time.. ..Can't touch this!... Gemini Aces P-51B/C is reigning champ!
1/48th: Eagles International is 'The Lord of the P-51B/C Rings'!
1/32nd: Corgi's it!
1/35th: GMP rules!
