| Re: How do ya like'em P51-b/c's? Hey Guys, I just showed my Patty Ann II to a new diecast collector and he loved it! He's considering which one to buy for himself. Photos of my Mustang are here: A tale of two diecasts (C1 Wildcat & EI P-51B) | |||||||||||||

| I think the EI P-51B/C or in my case, the Mustang III, is a fantastic model. I just got the RAF Mustang III in Polish markings. They have taken the extra time to deal with all the details...something I have not seen in the FM models. The model appears to be very much to scale...even the wing cross section seems to be the right thickness. In 1/48 scale, I don't think you can do any better. In my limited experience as a diecast aircraft collector, Corgi has the best 1/32 scale Mustangs, EI has the best 1/48 scale Mustangs and I have to say it would be a toss-up between the new Gemini Mustangs and the Dragon Mustangs in 1/72 scale. BOTTOM LINE: as our brothers have said over and over again in this thread....go for the EI P-51B/Cs as the best in 1/48 scale!! Cheers, Mike | |||||||||||||
