Re: Here's a little teaser for you.

I appreciate your post Mark. Thank you. What about Franklin Mint--in other words, are models they are doing possibly on the table for Eagles? It is so frustrating that staples such as the P-51D are done in awful tooling by FM, and then no other manufacturer wants to touch them because they think they will not sell.

About seven or eight years ago, about the time I realized I didn't have the time to build plastic anymore, I looked at a few Armour and thought "Yuck! I will stick with plastic." Every time I am tempted to buy a FM, I go to my local hobby shop, inspect a few, remind myself of how awful they look, and I am cured. I will never buy one unless they "reboot" retool and rise to the standard of Eagles.

Eventually, FM models will be on the table. For now, we will attempt to produce only unique aircraft and aircraft variants. I really want to build the
"D", it's to great an aircraft not to be designed and cast with a little TLC.

Re: Here's a little teaser for you.

How do you feel about the chances of an Avenger and a P-61 form them? I know threre is a sight that says that, but I wanted to ask the pro from Dover here. If they did make them, they would be a dream.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Here's a little teaser for you.

We've been slow out of the gate but we'll be picking up the pace. There are plenty of things to come from the ole eagles nest.

Mark,
Will there be any announcements soon about future products that will be coming out for Eagles International ?

My life is half over, and to think that I will not enjoy an outstanding diecast P-51D in 1:48 someday soon makes me want to... I guess the same will be true for a Spitfire Mk. V, P-38J... the list could go on and on.

Now I REALLY dislike FM !!

Have these aweful feelings of yours changed at all a year later, Elmer?

Re: Here's a little teaser for you.

I saw this thread reactivated and I got all tingly and excited... alas, it is only fly asking me if my feelings toward FM/A have changed. Well, here we are one year later, and no closer to an awesome 1:48 P-51D. Need you ask, fly?

Yessir, you are right. 2007 was a tad bit disappointing for 1:48: EI only got two Texans out (very late), no new molds from C1, and only two molds from HM.

Re: Here's a little teaser for you.

I missed or ignored this thread last year and when I pulled it up tonight I was rather excited... until I noticed the date. AC are losing their allure to me with my other interest but I would buy multiple EI Tbolts. I can dream.......

I still can't believe the Texan got made before the Thunderbolt - oh well.
