I'm getting one too...Though I'm tempted to get more. I'm really glad to see they didn't silver-up the "rubber" part of the track this time.

Re: Dragon 1/72 Sherman 60257 in stock!

Forgive my ignorance folks, but what is so special about this particular tank? Not the model, it's a Sherman, enough said.

My questions is, what was the Battling Bitch and why is this the second company to do this particular tank?

Was this Patton's personal vehicle or something? Was this tank first ashore at Normandy? What did this tank do?

Thanks, and yes, I'm to lazy to google it.

Battling Bitch was a regular Sherman that was photographed in WWII. The Dragon Armor version is more representative of the real Battling Bitch since the Forces of Valor version has a mine roller which the real Battling Bitch did not.

I can't speak for others, but this particular tank is favored by me because it can so easily be converted (straight forward paint scheme). I'm getting 6 and will customize each slightly so all are different. The M4A1 was used from the D-Day landings all the way to the end of the war (though other variants came out too).

I also like the "rough" look that Dragon has captured, that the real thing had.

I haven't seen it in person, but it looks from the pictures like Dragon didn't go overboard with the cast texture

The pics of this thing look great.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: Dragon 1/72 Sherman 60257 in stock!

Has anyone seen a scan of the decal sheet that came with the model kit of this tank? From the reviews I've read it comes with markings for 4 different US versions (including BB & Derby). If they do them all it will make for a nice little troop of M4A1s and a welcome interruption of the German markings trend.
