Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

I'm getting ready to place an order for 4 or 5 tanks so I need the forums help in deciding which command Japgdpanzer IV to get. I typically only purchase one of each vehicle variant and the cost to add one more tank does not increase the shipping charge. So, which is it 60239 or 60240? I think I'm leaning toward 60240 but if anyone has any information that one of these schemes is historically more correct than the other it could tilt the scales.

Re: Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

My personal preference is for the one pictured on the left. I have both only because I bought the one on the right since it was released first and then saw the one pictured on the left and liked it more so got it too.

Re: Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

I agree with Legio LXXII, the one on the left, i.e. 60239 is the better looking one for me. I also dig unusual two crosses per side identification. Too bad that Dragon doesn't always provide unit identifications with its models to assist with historical research.

Regards,

Sergey

Re: Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

For those that have these - are the antennae removable? Is there anything else that makes them Cammand versions?

Re: Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

I'm not sure if the antenna is removable or not. It could easily break off though so it's probably not a good idea to mess with it. Other than that, it's no different than the non-command versions.

Tankguy,
Hey there.

Don't mess with the antenna. It's really thin and looks about as fragile as it can be. It is not something that would be easy to fix.

Re: Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

Thank you for your input Legio and Berkut. Based on your opinions and some final production pics I decide to go with the one on the left.

Re: Command Jagdpanzer IV opinions....

I just picked up the one on the left from my local hobby shop, it's an excellent piece!
