New Dragon 1:72 King Tigers

I saw the new 1:72 King Tigers on the "Mule"; $49.99 for a 1:72 model?

What gives? They are limited editions but that much money?

Re: New Dragon 1:72 King Tigers

They aren't "New" but restock of older special Cyberhobby releases, which are much more limited than the standard stuff and come with certs and nice tins. These retailed for $40-50 direct from CH and have routinely fetched $100+ on ebay. See the other thread about this issue...

Heck, some are paying $70+ for the Flying Tigers plane and it's 1/72. To each his own. None of this stuff is really worth anything. Just what we are willing to pay because we love them.

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Re: New Dragon 1:72 King Tigers

I just ordered 2 of them. Where else would you find a DX04 king tiger for $50?

Re: New Dragon 1:72 King Tigers

Well this is all new to me. I'm more into the WWII fighters but have collected some of the DM tanks.

I guess I will have to look again at these Kings.

A few years ago (4?), a local hobby shop had a few of these (DX04 Koenigtiger) available for approx. US$15 each - didn't buy any as I preferred some of the standard liveries at the time and wasn't aware of the significance of the DX04 markings on the box (how they came to be in NZ I know not).

That one I never understood -- that P-40 sometimes went for $50+ on ebay while it was still in stock at the Mule...

Sorry Pappy, I meant the Marseilles FT comm. model, not the AVG one from the Flying Mule.
