Flight of the Bumblebee - oldie but goodie

The Hummel is good old Dragon 60189...

...but the diorama looks nice. Expect it in January 2008 as DRR 60334 "1/72 Sd. Kfz. 165 Hummel Late Production 4.Pz.Div. Eastern Front w/Bunker Base, Ammo case and spent-shell".

And no yellow stucco in it at all .

(Picture and announcement of 60334 taken from Dragon Models USA)

Wow, that's pretty nice. Although I do have that tank already. Wish they'd sell dios in two versions, with and without tanks.

Re: Flight of the Bumblebee - oldie but goodie

Another Hummel with the same diorama was announced for January 2008 as DRR 60339, 1/72 Sd.Kfz. 165 Hummel Late Production Poland 1945 w/ Diorama Base.

Old folks might recognise DRR 60190, a beautiful but not exactly new model:

Talking Re: Flight of the Bumblebee - oldie but goodie

Mmm... Shouldn't there be at least some bits of snow around the trench area? Or did the crew paint it like that to make a good target?

Re: Flight of the Bumblebee - oldie but goodie

I'm sure I'm not the only person to think this, but boy do those bases look great. Wish we could get them separately.

Though, if the warbird bases are any indication, we'll see these on sale soon enough. I grabbed a spare ME-262 that I already owned, just for the base. $15.00 on sale. I can sell, or give away the plane and keep the plane and base.

Anything for a weird life.

Agree on that, should be some snow on the ground. Would of been nice if Dragon added that little extra. Guess it's too much to ask for.

I'll be getting that top one for sure, looks great with the diorama. Agree the winter one looks a bit bright on that base with no snow around - I could always add some though.

Re: Flight of the Bumblebee - oldie but goodie

Another Hummel diorama was announced for June 2008 (I did not even see the first ones here in Germany), a re-release of DRR 60288, but this time with snow on the base. In my opinion the best looking of the three.

DRR 60345 Hummel Early Production, PZ.Art.Rgt.19, 19.Pz.Division, Eastern Front 1944 with Diorama Base
