Pics of Thunderbolt VII

O.K., so I told myself last year I'm not going to collect any Dragon Armor. I'm a plane guy, stick with the wild blue yonder was my creed. But then I saw this little jewel and I just could not control myself. I'm so weak.

Here are a few pics if anyone is contemplating. I know there was some discussion about turret armor so I took some overhead shots.

LOL I am more of a tank guy and as of late I am ordering planes like it's the end of the world. I guess I will have to pick up this baby at some point, nice pics it looks very sharpe. I like the add on armour and the twin machine guns on it as well, makes it stick out in a crowd of other shermans for sure.

Re: Pics of Thunderbolt VII

I should add that the photos wash out the color due to the flash. It looks much better in person.

I have the Thunderbolt Sherman, too, and I love it. Dragon really did a fine job on this one. I'd recommend this one because of its famous tank commander, Creighton Abrams.

Re: Pics of Thunderbolt VII

Of all the Shermans that Dragon has done, this is by far the best! I got mine yesterday.

Old Crow, it's downhill from here on out - Dragon Armor models are like peanuts, you'll never stop at one ...

Re: Pics of Thunderbolt VII

I haven't got Thunderbolt VII (still not on sale this side of the pond), but Dragon Shermans are incredibly good models overall.

Shermans are challenging models in this scale, as they have many tiny details such as counterweights, lamp protection frames, and a host of lift rings. Just look how all of them have been faithfully reproduced by Dragon (in contrast to other manufacturers...), and of course the overall shape and proportions, as well as the "bigger" details, are virtually faultless. I can't wait to have Thunderbolt VII and Elowee in my collection!

Question Re: Pics of Thunderbolt VII

Very nice Old Crow. That model looks really good. Shermans aren't really my thing but I have two, one with the 76mm gun and the a German one with their cool camo and the 17 pounder. Which gun is mounted in this version? I prefer the heavyweights.
