Dragon Announcement for August - 1/72 T-34/76 Mod. 1941 (60328)

T-34/76 Mod. 1941, 116th Tank Brigade, Eastern Front 1942, 60328

"The 1/72 scale model is shown as a tank fighting in 1942, with the name 'Lazo' emblazoned on the sides of the turret" - that should make it easier for those of us who want to know more about the real tank.

Nice looking model, but also looks like it's exactly the same moulding that was previously released. I would have loved some variation (a later model with the round hatch at the rear, one periscope instead of two, some Zavod-related changes such as handrails, or simply a few differences regarding spare track or stowage bin positioning, etc.). A good model, but seemingly just a repaint.

Not just the same mould...

...the VERY same tank that was once released as an exclusive before the regular version hit the market.
Poor show, Dragon!

Very poor show indeed, this kind of cynical marketing attitude does not make me warm to Dragon no matter how good their models may be. Just glad that Hobbymaster are giving them some real competition now. I would far rather buy stuff from HM than Dragon at the moment.

I presume that they are releasing what were formerly exclusives due to the fact that they have stacks of them sitting in a warehouse never ordered. Probably just whipping up a few more to go along with the ones already on hand.

Typical chinese marketing. Those big nosed foreign devils are stupid so lets make good money selling them the same and same again...

Its for almost a year since I purchased a dragon tank...There are limits for the number T34 and Maus every month...

Sellin what were once exclusves shows how idiotas they are.

HM is startin well, but in a year or so it will be the same repetitive models...

Yeah, Dragon has gotten a little repetative, but a lot of that has to do with making the most of the capital investment. Lets not knock Dragon too much, they have given us some very nice Shermans and 251's as of late. Also, upcoming is their SU-100. As for Hobby Master, they are four tanks out. Give them a chance and look at the tanks they have announced. I think we will look back on this as a golden age of 1/72 finished tanks, so enjoy the ride while it last.
