Re: Dragon Armor announcements for July 2007

The more I look at it the stranger it looks...

Check it out, the storage box thing they have at the back of the turret is gone...

Unless this is just a prototype and they haven't stuck the extra bits on yet - I dunno.

Re: Dragon Armor announcements for July 2007

On http://panzer-archiv.de/forum/viewto...13c262ff6a9bd7 there is a (mostly German) thread about the Fehrmann Tigers. Someone in this thread published a page of a book (unknown to me) covering the F13.

Direct link:

And maybe there are some Tiger fans out there who also did not know the "Tiger I Information Center" ( http://www.alanhamby.com/tiger.html ) .

Re: Dragon Armor announcements for July 2007

These Tigers were as mentioned early types upgraded with the steel wheels. They were also some of the last Tigers to fight in Germany ( againnst the Brits )before it was over. If memory serves me correctly, they were formed from a School House Unit and sent into combat. I don't think they were too concerned about the rear stowage box, since after all they wee fighting in thier own backyard. F13 i think was Ko'd by a Comet.
Still waiting on the M4A3E2 from Dragon.

A3Driver,
Yeah, the T-34 is a nice scheme. I also really like the Sherman.

At least we got allied versions of allied tanks this time. I'm over the captured stuff for the time being.

Anything for a weird life.

You're right. The German T-34 with sideskirts (60218) still lookes good, but more yellow-painted Shermans with Balkenkreuze all over might get boring.

Re: Dragon Armor announcements for July 2007

Oh-ho! That Sherman is covered in add-on armor - SWEET! Nice 3-tone cammo on the 251, and I'm always glad to see another t-34 in Russian markings, the cast turret version is my fav, but what is the deal with this version always coming in winter cammo? I think there have been 2 of these in german, 3-4 in white, and only ONE in basic green cammo. What's up wit dat?

Re: Dragon Armor announcements for July 2007

Okay, I’ll admit it…I squeed like a fangirl when I saw Abram’s Sherman. It's one fancy Easy Eight (hopefully the first of several)...It even has the commander’s .30. But I’ve got to ask, do those tracks look backwards to anyone else?

It’s also good to see a Western front halftrack.
