Dragon Nashorn 60188 Red Heart

I was thinking about getting this Nashorn, Red Heart. At first I didn't like it, but it has sort of "grown on me." The camo is very unique. Does anyone have this? Is this one a "historical" replica?

Re: Dragon Nashorn 60188 Red Heart

Thanks for the info. I have a friend who is very knowledgeable about all this stuff, and he thinks that Dragon is pretty accurate in their armor depiction.

I think Dragon gets the schemes pretty close to the real thing. I really like that new German half-trac just released in the panzer-grey and yellow zig zag lines. I have one on pre-order but have to wait alittle for some more pre-order releases coming out.

I have 2 of the half-tracks, and love them. The most recent being the tan rivetted version with the mortar. I think that the one you have pre-ordered is also rivetted/mortar. Great models.

I like scheme but opted for the first release which was available for much less. Yup, money don't grow on trees no more.

Re: Dragon Nashorn 60188 Red Heart

Copland,
Hey there.

I'm not a "rivet" counter so i don't know about this particular liveries combat history. However, I can say that this Dragon armor model looks great. I got one a while ago and think it is well worth the time and money.

From what little history of the Nashorn that I know, they served for most of the war so it seems to me that it probably carried every camo scheme the Germans used. (At least at one point or another.) Unless they come up with one in day-glow pink I think you are pretty safe in saying that the livery was legit.

Anything for a weird life.

Re: Dragon Nashorn 60188 Red Heart

I don't know if the paint scheme is a historical replica, but do know that Dragon got part of the back of the Nashorne wrong.
