Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

I'm seriously wavering ... Spent some time today fixing the hand rail on my Dragon T34/84 (Super Glue Gel required) and pondered the fact that it is a really good model as are most of the other Dragon 1/72s (as I mentioned previously, the Reactive Armour Bradley is spectacular as are the almost all-metal Challenger tanks )

I'm seriously eyeing out another Hummel which, if purchased, would mean that resistance was indeed futile, not to mention my clear lack of scale resolve ...

Bought another Dragon Hummel . No willpower ... Scale dilemma still unresolved and likely to remain so indefinitely ...

One sheep to rule them all ...

Thumbs up Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

Imust admit that I was becoming a bit blase with Dragons releases and hadn't bought one for a while .But then I finally purchased the Stug with side skirts(60115 Italy) and that just fired me back into the model shop. The Hummel/Nashorn versions are also terrific also .

Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

I'm familiar with those larger scale manufacturers and used to collect them, though I'm actually selling off my King & Country collection now on Ebay. Nice stuff, just takes up too much room in my house. Not a big fan of the polystone tanks, Honour Bound tanks seems to be better than the King & Country tanks but they too could still use some big improvements. Honour Bound seem to be some good competition for King & Country.

Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

Figarti Has probably the most detailed Vehicles now. But this stuff can send you to the poor house. That is why I am breaking into 1/72nd a bit. I like it, and I will stay in tune with this section to learn more about it. I am going to do some 1/72nd dioramas, and I am investigating Companies that make 1/72nd buildings and accessories.

I checked the Web Site you have on your post. Who sells Easy Models. Alex

Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

You will find lots of companies make 1/72 buildings and accessories, though not painted. The thing with 1/72 is that it's a very popular scale for plastic model kits so there are loads of diorama products to choose from.

There are several companies that sell Easy Models, I personally prefer Burbanks House of Hobbies. Some of the best online prices you will find and excellent customer service.

Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

LegioLXXII - how much King and Country stuff did you have before you decided to sell?

1/72 is the best scale overall because of the following:

1) It's a standard scale for aircraft, armour and soldiers
2) The products are cheap but well detailed.
3) The models don't take up much display space.
4) There are heaps of model kits and diorama accessories etc that can be used to complement collections.

Re: Giving up on 1/72 armour

Aircrafty,

I had loads of it. I sold most of the vehicles and many of the figures late last year, holding onto only my favorites figures. But I recently decided to get rid of them all. I really like them alot but only have so much room. I found myself putting more and more King & Country away to make room for more and more 1/72 diecast tanks (and figures that I paint or have painted for me).
