Cyber Hobby 60322 - Panther G w/ Steel Road Wheels

Received my new Cyber Hobby Panther today. Opened up the package, and was immediately disappointed.

In the past the Cyber Hobby 1/72 items that I've purchased have come in metal tins. This newest one, comes in the standard plastic case and card board box "wrapper" that most of the Dragon Armors come in. Very disappointing! For the money I would have expected the "extra treatment" and this one fails.

As for the actual tank, it has the distinctive plastic heft to it. I do like the camouflage scheme and it does look very nice. But definitely not for the price I paid straight from Cyber Hobby.

Here's a picture of it (I hope to have the rest of my pics I took posted to my web site in next few days):

Looks pretty close to Dragon Armor 60012.

Cyber Hobby is not doing the "tin" thing anymore. I have two Tiger I's in tins and love them. I have e-mailed Dragon encouraging them to re-introduce the tins. That's the main reason that I stopped buying CH releases, for the most part. I did buy the King Tiger Porsche turret with sign posts. However, I paid $28.50 for it.

Re: Cyber Hobby 60322 - Panther G w/ Steel Road Wheels

I have to disagree with this Panther having a plastic heft to it. I compared it to the one other Panther I have loose - 60026. Now that one 60026 does have a plastic feel/heft to it and it weighs just under 2 ounces. The cyber hobby version 60322 weighs in at just under 4 ounces. Those two ounces really makes a difference. One other detail I noticed is that the chassis for 60322 is the same as the Panther F 60043 Dragon did long ago. Here is a pic of 60043 and you can see the similarity (the draped tow cable is a nice touch)

I think this Panther(60322) is quite nice to look at, and am glad I cracked one open for the shelf.
