New Display/Shelves

Picked up a set of shelves and doors to put some of my collection in. I'll probably get some more shelves as isn't enough room!

The tanks/vehicles that aren't in cases are Forces of Valor or MRC. The rest, in their cases, are Dragon, Admiral, or Hobby Master. I figure if guests come over and want to "look" I can hand them a FOV or MRC to put their hands on!

Re: New Display/Shelves

Very nice display csiemers! I have a very similar setup for my models as well. All my Dragons are in their own display cases also but I've been thinking about taking them out since that way they will take up less space. Is this your entire collection or do you have more tanks that you haven't put up into the cabinet yet?

I'm just guessing it's around a 1/5 of my collection. For now I'm going to leave the ones that came in cases in them. Figure though the cabinet does keep the dust out, the case will still protect them, especially the command Jagdpanzer IVs and Shermans with the AA MG, since I just know someday I'm going to break one of those off!

I do plan to get some more shelves, so that'll help get more of the collection out. I'm figuring, for now at least, to keep 2-3 of my favorites out of the different types of vehicles out on the shelves. Maybe someday I'll figure out another area to put additional shelves. It took me a year to get this so I'm taking my time!

I actually managed to bust the .50 off of my Elowee in the process of putting the cover back on... Super glue is my friend.

Re: New Display/Shelves

I'll try to post some pics of my collection later on. Right now about 90% of my collection is still in moving boxes. Who else keeps their tanks in their original plastic displays?

Re: New Display/Shelves

Gee CSiemers, you could probably form your own 1/72 tank division LOL.

My tanks are also put on the shelf but the they are opened. The acrylic is too shiny/reflective for anyone to see the beauty of the tank. But they are gathering dust though. Well but that probably makes them look more surreal .

Get some canisters of compressed air and go to work on your tanks. Should get rid of a lot of dust pretty easily.

Re: New Display/Shelves

Thx but how do I compress the air into the canister?

Kiddin great tips but I wasn't aware that there are compressed air canisters sold anywhere?
