Dragon Expo 2007?

Did anyone go? I haven't heard any news from the convention. Usually dragon gives an insight into what is coming in the future.
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Dragon Expo 2007?

I was there on all four days. The Dragon part was limited to a single seminar room. Their special guest, a German WW II tanker, bowed out due to health issues. They only had one presentation, which I missed.

Most of the activities were presented by the IPMS (International Plastic Modelers' Society) , which partnered with Dragon for the event. IPMS hosted trips to armor and air museums and the like--all of which you had to register for before the event started. They also hosted numerous seminars. These covered various modeling issues, but in addition covered military history topics, such as a presentation on the Tuskegee Airmen, and one on the colors of various warbirds by a photographer who showed some excellent examples.

Did you see any new 1/72 Dragon armour on display?
Thanks,

Re: Dragon Expo 2007?

The Dragon official display case featured mostly 1:6 scale items, highlighting the show specials. There were a few other pieces, but I can't tell you whether or not any new 1:72 scale armor was included. At a couple of the vendor's tables I saw both the recently released and soon-to-be released 1:35 scale KT's.
