For the discriminating Tulip collector...

Just in case "Sherman M4A4 Mk.V 'Tulip', 1st Armored Battalion Coldstream Guards, Germany 1945 ~T-147341" wasn't quite your thing because you didn't like the vehicle number you may want to pick up "Sherman M4A4 Mk.V 'Tulip', 1st Armored Battalion Coldstream Guards, Germany 1945 ~147785!" Wow.

Re: For the discriminating Tulip collector...

Hey I just finished a book about those guys. The book has photos of the first tank they fitted with rockets. the writer, Robert Boscawen had them fitted to his tank and tested them ,he states they were very good and worked well. they were put to devastating effect.
The racks were welded on ,only one rail to begin with and then a second each side was added shortly afterwards.

Judging from the photos these tanks need some heavy weathering to be accurate. Most of those tanks had travelled a long way and had been in some tough fights plus they were covered in alsorts of kit including spare track over the drivers position, Bogies and camo netting.

God Bless America.

Re: For the discriminating Tulip collector...

I'll think I'll buy myself one of these for my birthday. Since I'm not going to get what I really want...which is a Scimitar tank.

Re: For the discriminating Tulip collector...

Apparently, these two ladies are looking for a Yorkshireman who loves P-40s. I had no idea who they are talking about.

Re: For the discriminating Tulip collector...

Just tell her you were admiring the Scimitar, not them and their loveliness.

Re: For the discriminating Tulip collector...

Cavtanker, you are not helping!

If Lorraine ever caught jim admiring his scimitar while in front of that picture, the rolling pin will have to be removed by a surgeon....
