Dragon Tanks in 2008

I am wondering what 2008 will have in store for us in terms of 1/72 Dragon Tanks. Here is my guess so far:
1. Su-100's (Probably a few more of these will be released, it looks like we get two before the end of this year)
2. SU-85 (I believe Dragon is doing this in kit form now or the near future)
3. Stug III (DX07 Europe's special should mean more are on the way)
4. More 251's (Plenty more variations to do here)

Re: Dragon Tanks in 2008

Yes, these are surely coming. And I think the following are also likely:

- more Shermans (Jumbo, M4A2, ...)
- more T-34s (mod 1941 cast turret, mod. 1942 soft-edge turret, ...)
- Jagdpanzer IV/70 (A)
- Su-122

Re: Dragon Tanks in 2008

New items we will definitely see an SU-85 as Dragon just announced the 1/72 plastic kit which is usually about the same time as the Dragon Armor version (Admiral Toys waited too long unfortunately). Definitely the Stug III as well since Dragon Euro Expo '07 has one. I bet we'll have some surprises no matter what. More halftrack variants, more Sherman variants, more Russian armor, and probably much more.

Re: Dragon Tanks in 2008

So far every 1/72 Sherman kit has been swiftly followed by it's Dragon Armor counter parts. And since there are 1/72 kits for "Sherman M4A2 75mm, Tarawa USMC PTO" and "British Sherman Mk.III M4A2" there's no doubt we'll be seeing previews for those specific vehicles very soon.

In 2008 I expect to see all the StuG IIIs they previewed that never surfaced. (I wonder what happened to the two Jagdpanthers that disappeared?) I expect to see both 75 and 76mm Sherman Jumbos...Maybe a composite hull M4? (At some point we'll need regular old 75mm M4s and M4A3s...Then with all the major models out of the way we'll get production variations galore.) Oh, and we'll see a MAUS on a grass dio, mud dio, city street, crossing a trench, in a trench, on the moon with a Jagdtiger and at least one "captured."

In theory you would think that they would have released a Pz IV already seeing how they do have the chassis for it. I'm also wondering what the hold up is. If there's a tank to be released in large quantities than this one would definately be it for the Germans (along with the StuG of course).

I was just thinking. I remember the Germans using a sort of a truck with rocket launchers on the back of it. It's not quite like the Russian Katusha. It has smaller rockets unlike the Katusha. I think that would be a pretty nice model.

Re: Dragon Tanks in 2008

Remember that Hobby Master is making a Panzer IV and so is Easy Model. We should be getting plenty of panzer IV's. I am curious about the Brumbar which appeared on the back cover of a dragon catalog. No mention of this since then though, As for the Hetzer, I have been asking for some time on that one.
