Re: Pz.Kpfw.V1Ausf.E,Sd.Kfz.181 1.35 Tiger!

I just happened to found it. So what's the quality like? Okay, nice, excellent, one of the kind, must-have? Any comments on it?

I may run and get it if it's a superbly done model......btw model kit is my usual collection i found their 1/35 amazingly detailed.

I would buy it if it was in 1/72 scale.

IMO much better (exterior) details than a Forces of Valor 1/32 Tiger, but certainly a lot less weight. I found it good enough to buy it together with the even more expensive Cyber-Hobby Tiger #100. That may prove that I am a not only a big Tiger fan but also a bit crazy

Forces of valor 1/32 tank series are pathetic...I wouldn't want to buy any of them even if it was sold half the price.

The gray Tiger looks good but i prefer the snow camo Tiger because of its overall chipped paint. Besides i never see the gray Tiger being sold anywhere here and like you said it's even more expensive so i don't think i'm willing to burn that amount of cash....

EDIT: I've noticed that in most Tiger tank pictures i've seen the track width is wider than the tank's width. It reaches the outer side skirt of the tank. Since i notice that there's no side skirt for the Dragon 1/35 Tiger tank how wide is the track on those models. From what i've seen it's not wider than the tank's width which is not quipped with the side skirt.

Well i bought the snow cammo Tiger yesterday and i'm rather dissapointed. If you look really closely to the tank well it has a toyish look to it. But definitely better than Forces of valor's Tiger which is pathetic in looks but great in feel(metal content is high).

I still can't figure out which part is made from metal as everything i've seen and touched is made from plastic. Considering the very considerable(if not outright 100%) plastic content it is overpriced.

And i got a bad experience once i opened the box. I snap the handle from the loader/gunner hatch as i thought it was openable .

I was expecting to get an acrylic case which the box doesn't include.....now my Tiger is gathering dust......

Re: Pz.Kpfw.V1Ausf.E,Sd.Kfz.181 1.35 Tiger!

I have been reading this thread with some interest as I had ordered the Wittman Tiger.Well it arrived today and I must say that is is a superb model. There are a few more add ons with this one as in shovels, recovery gear, storage boxes and track links fixed to the turret etc.I haven't tried to open any hatches as they look too delicate but did whip the turret off for a quick peek.Appears tobe the same as the snow tiger.Fit and finish is perfect and the only concern I have is the length of the 88's barrel.for some reason it just looks a tad short.Probably just me.The weight of the model doesn't bother me so much as the quality certainly makes up for this. All in all Dragon have done well.

Re: Pz.Kpfw.V1Ausf.E,Sd.Kfz.181 1.35 Tiger!

Perhaps I should let evreyone here to know that I have given away my 1/35 Tiger.
The reason is that I don't really like the chipped paint effect as it looks toyish to me instead of realistic.

And the price I paid was way too steep(US$90.00).

So let me say to Dragon, this scheme has a toyish chipped paint to it.

Still hoping Dragon to make Merkava Mk 2, T55, T62, T72, T80, T90, Lecrec.......more modern tanks pleeze. I'm sick of Dragon's Nazi tank syndrome....
