I think you have more fun on the hunt than the actual purchase.

In Florida the Hobby Shop, other than the just RC shop, is sadly a thing of the past as they can not compete with on-line prices.

I would guess most of us in the US buy on-line. The price is much better and no sales tax. You pay shipping, but less than 15$ will get 3 day delevery to me from anywhere in the US for a large purchase - 20 or more items.

as you will have read from my threads, the hobby shop is still alive and well here. The hunt is good fun, it's true. But sometimes....nada!

On prices: we have to pay 17.5% tax ( Value Added Tax; V.A.T. ) on everything, mail order or otherwise! Remember, you guys got pissed at the Brits for their heavy taxes, we're just as unhappy with them. Oh, well, as old Ben Franklin said, " There's only two things for certain in life: death and taxes! "

I'd just as well be happy to pay the taxes as the other!
