Re: Red Panther

If I am not mistaken that is the Grandmenil Panther from "Das Reich". When I saw it in 2000 it was camoed.

Re: Red Panther

You can as of 1995 get into the Bastogne Sherman. That was interesting to see just how gutted it was.

Yeah, T.F. it's 'one & the same' !!!!!!!!!

Interesting comparison, between the shots I took on my 1st visit in May 1993

as opposed to the next time I visited it (ten years later) in June 2003

They Camouflaged it (& crudely) 'sealed' it up - once it had been painted up in (relatively) authentic colours, they then put a Chain-Mail link fencing & posts around the vehicle, to stop & deter enthusiasts (like us !)

Those changes took place in 1994 (the guy in our party, with the GL.500 returned the following summer !)........

So it looks like we climbed around inside it, JUST in the nick of time !!!!!!!!!!

Trust me, it's a tight squeeze inside that main-hatch (in front of the 'Mantlet' !)

The guy with the 900.F was too fat (!!!!!!!!!!) & couldn't 'squeeze' through !!!!!!!!!!!!! (Yikes !)

I've got a pic' (B & W, taken by 'GL.500 man'), of yours truly just inside the hatch !!!!!
