The 251s are certainly piling up now. This is the first 251D Dragon Hannomag that I've come across and its a little beauty.

The shop had two left so I bought both. I liked the winter camo finish which is further enhanced by the effect of water/rust/frost darkening round the armour plate bolts. This is very effective and is skillfully rendered and well up to the usual Dragon standard.

Those of you who are familiar both 251 main variants will be aware of the simplification of the rear doors, the side engine cover plates and the decluttering effect of losing the driver's side mirrors. Also gone is the right hand road light. The interior and armament remain the same.

This vehicle is in the livery ( almost invisible because of the winter camo ) of Adolf's own Life Standard Adolf Hitler Panzer Gren.Division. The model is based on a vehicle which took part in the Battle of Kharkov, 1943 ( Mod. No. 60236 ) I like this version, but I want to see a 251C in winter camo too! I also want to see some variation of the open port plates. Get moving Dragon!

I prefer the outlines of the C version because I think that it is elegantly cluttered. Don't ask me why!

Yes, this is certainly a terrific release by Dragon. I have 6 on order which should show up just in time for a little Christmas present to myself.
