Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Anyone ordered this book from the Dragon USA site ? There are a few AFVs which I'd like to see in 1.72 scale.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Question, has anyone in the UK run across Dragon's 60140 251/1 Ausf. C in field grey? I haven't seen one here in the States and am wondering if it ever got released or if I just went brain dead and missed it.

have a look at the links below; the 3rd onwards are e-bay items. I just got a 251/7 Ausf. C Pionierpanzerwagan (60276) in field grey on e-bay last week.

Like that multi turret Russian tank in the picture. Sure would like a diecast version of it.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Well, at least we have this to look forward to :

German 105 mm StuH 42 Ausf. G Ardennes 1944

DR60358 Due July 2008

prices are rising. This will come in at £14.00 while the latest Polish Firefly will be £15.00. I'll get this Stug ( and perhaps a couple more ) and the Firefly too, but whereas I would have bought three models, I'm now buying two. Recession is on the horizon and the bank of England is saying that the good ol' days are behind us.

Is the Grim Reaper about to thin out the competition in the diecast world ? Will releases slow down now: will projected releases be shelved for happier times ?

Have you noticed how few Dragons have hit the shelves recently?

I've 'virtually' stopped buying 1/72 Dragon Armor except for the occasional 'special' piece (last purchase five months ago) - they swamped the market with more releases than it could sustain and you know what they say about "too much of a good thing" ...

(Typical 'killing the goose that lays the golden egg' syndrome .)

One sheep to rule them all ...

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

we'll have to wait and see how this story pans out. Have you bought into the 1.72 HM releases Cardinal ? They must be attracting many Dragon afficienados. The Hm range must attract because of their good build, metal content, great research and resonable price.

But are they hurting Dragon? I doubt it. Dragon has many irons in the fire.

We'll see............................................... ........

I doubt it too, Dragon and Hobby Master each have their own distinct releases.

That's true Legio LXXll. They each have their own niche.

Here's one to think about : we know that a good-looking version of a German late version Mk lV is on the way from FOV. We also know that HM should produce one soon. We also know that Dragon plans to release new 1.72 Mk lV kits which means that Mk lVs will show up as pre-builds eventually. It will be interesting to compare the offerings from these manufacturers when all this coincides.

I'm just happy to have this long-neglected ( but historically important ) vehicle in any form.

I'd also like to see Dragon producing some of their 1.35 artillery in 1.72 scale as pre-builts.

What about this one to go with all those T34s?
