Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Of all things why a bunker? Nothing about that base makes sense.

I was wondering exactly the same thing - thought it was just me .

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

I'm off to Edinburgh today, so I'll check out Wonderland model/hobby shop to see what's happening. This is their chance to impress me.

I'll have to resist those 1.48 scale CDC planes at half-price though ( unless they have a Stuka which I can't resist ! )

Happy Saturday, Guys, and good hunting !

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

A Preiser set of 1.72 scale Feldgendarmen Wachposten was all I could get. No new Dragons to re[port.

Good! It gives me some time to catch up. I'm up to 30+ now with a few cyberhobby limited editions on the way. I really love these things and think I'll be focusing my collection on these puppies.

Good luck Das Boot! A good way to catch up with past releases is to check out ebay. Sometimes you can find someone unloading a whole bunch of Dragon Armour in one lot....at bargain basement prices too !

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

I found the information on the Dragon Models USA web site. I assume the model is a repeat finish of # 60316 that they already released. I odered 60366 anyway before I checked, dang!!!!!!!!!!! Man I wish they would do their diorama packages differently and have different unit finishes.

Just for the record: The shermans next to the "bunker/fort" are repeats of previous shermans.
60366 is the same tank as 60316.
60365 is the same tank as 60307.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Gotta admit, that bunker looks cool (kinda), but I’m going to forbear. Love what Dragon’s doing, but come on ... staging a neato bunker with two previously released tanks? They did the same silly thing with those Hummel bunker dios...and Elephant dios...and Jadgtigers...and Challengers etc., etc., etc.

Clearly, Dragon’s desperately trying to whittle down excess stock by coupling surplus models (in this case Shermans) to showy props. Nothing wrong with that per se, but you’d think they know we’re wise to it.

If they want a real sure-fire seller, Dragon should consider packaging never-released-before models with gotta-have dioramas. Or maybe sell these beautifully crafted dios by themselves. In the end they’d sell a boatload more.

It is never too late to be what you might have been.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Hi Gort,

Welcome home. They're remaking " The Day the Earth Stood Still " so I wonder what the new Gort will look like???

Agree with you on the diorama issue.

Prices keep creeping up too !
