Talking Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

A pic of the latest release from Dragon. It should appear here in June. The Tulip is not a new version, but the concrete bunker is new, and the most interesting part of this package.

The Humvee should appear next month.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

That diorama must be just for the UK, the US version is similar except for an American Sherman instead...

The second one shown is on the Dragon USA site and is item number DRR 60366.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Vehicle upgrades were (and still are) happening so often and so fast that I doubt that Dragon can keep up. That gunner shield is 2004-early 2005 at best. And many of the M1114s have been given to the IA/IPs.

Unhappy Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

Thank you Cruver Collector. I found the information on the Dragon Models USA web site. I assume the model is a repeat finish of # 60316 that they already released. I odered 60366 anyway before I checked, dang!!!!!!!!!!! Man I wish they would do their diorama packages differently and have different unit finishes.

Re: Today's Dragons in the U.K.

All the information on the Tulip version of the diorama Dboulais:

DR60365
BRITISH SHERMAN MK.V 'TULIP' WITH SECTION OF GERMAN FORTIFICATION

I wonder if we'll see the other, American, version here ?

Of all things why a bunker? Nothing about that base makes sense.

They do similar issues with the aircraft too. Be nice if new issue was a different model than a previous release.

I GUESS THAT THE DESIRED EFFECT IS TO CREATE A DIORAMA WHICH OWES MORE TO THE INSPIRATION OF THE MOVIE SET RATHER THAN TO A REFERENTIAL NOD TOWARDS THE WAR PHOTOGRAPHER'S BEST ART.

COMPACTNESS IS THE NAME OF THE GAME.
