Who would be interested in undecaled models?

Say if Dragon released the various marks of Shermans and T-34s in basecoat & weathering only, along with a decal set that would allow you the option to make it into any of 10 different vehicles, including at least 5 that would be compatible with representing a single platoon?

Some of the model kits already come with decal sets with markings for up to 10 vehicles, and while painting seems to be out for a lot of people (myself included these days), I could still see myself decaling up a nice platoon of 1943 T-34s, especially as they seem to make T-34s on a ratio of 50% german, 25% winter, and 25% (or less) standard green.

Re: Who would be interested in undecaled models?

I wouldn't mind seeing this in Dragon's "Warbirds" aircraft series.

Re: Who would be interested in undecaled models?

Excellent idea for both planes & armor. I hope Dragon is listening......Also, mentioned on the UK forum were decals that were designed for diecast. Has anyone heard of this different "breed" of decals? They are supposedly easier to apply to diecast models.

Re: Who would be interested in undecaled models?

I am of the age now where my hands are not quite as steady as they used to be which is why I got into pre-built planes and armor. The absolute most I will do now is put the finishing touch on the tails of a lot of German WW 2 aircraft.

Re: Who would be interested in undecaled models?

I think that be a great idea for both planes and armor to be able to do that.

I'd love to be able to decide on the bumper numbers on my Dragon Armor.
