The T-34 Limited Editions - anyone have them?

Model numbers 60153 and 60158 were both limited editions I believe and I have never seen these for sale in the UK. In description they both appear to be the same tank ie. T-34/76 Mod 1941 of the 116th Tank Brigade Spring 1942.

Are there any significant differences between these two models and does anyone have pictures of them ?

Here are the pics from the CH site:

I didn't buy either of them, and I'm glad I didn't!

Why so negative ? They don't look that bad in terms of modelling to me. Pretty boring camo scheme though and the only difference seems to be the colour of the diorama grass and possibly the painted slogan (although the latter may be the same as we cannot see both sides of the turret in each model).

I would probably get one of them if I saw one as I am a Russian armour nut rather than German.

Still waiting for the KV-1, KV-2, KV-85, IS-2, IS-3, SU-85, SU-100, SU-122, SU-152 from Dragon. There is so much more to Russian armour than the T-34

I have both and like them. Same unit but different slogans probably makes them popular with the wargaming crowd too. I am a sucker for T-34s with Russian gibberish painted on the turrets. With all of the German armor out you can never have enough T-34s.

Amen to that! I have six of the Dragon variants and the FoV SU-122 and they all look superb, particularly the ones with the diorama bases.

Re: The T-34 Limited Editions - anyone have them?

I do not have the CH issues, but do have 4 of the regular T-34 issues from Dragon. You're correct, in that the camo scheme is somewhat boring, esp. for a CH Limited Edition. I do have several of the CH Exclusives, but am very picky on what I choose. I did not think that the CH T-34 offered anything different than the regular issues. However, I do have 4 Dragon T-34s - 1 with simple green camo; 1 with green/tan camo; 2 with winter camo. I do like the T-34, and will eventually get a few more.

Although Dragon is producing a good number of the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 and L/70, these are some of my favorite - great detail.

Suggest you look on Ebay then as these are constantly listed.

They sell normally around the £15 mark.

They are not avalable in the shops as these were issued by Cyber Robery in Hong Kong and then the USA afterwards.

I usually check Ebay UK fairly regularly, but I will also take a look at Ebay US - thanks for the tip

That's the point, exactly. They just don't differ enough from the regular release that the term "exclusive" is justified. I preordered them for €27 when they were the first T-34s but cancelled the preorder when the seller had delays. I found that the regular T-34 at half that price is almost the same and I don't care which slogan there is on the tank, I can't read either

I agree since besides diorama base they offer nothing interesting in terms of content. The slogan of the tank on the left reads "For Motherland", while the one of right has inscription "Lazo". If I'm not mistaken Lazo was a Bolshevik hero of the Russian Civil War of 1917 - 1922 who led a Partisan movement in the Russian Far East. He was captured, tortured, and eventually executed by Japanese (who occupied Vladivostok area at the time).

Regards,

Sergey
