Dragon Armor halftrack

Anyone else notice anything odd with the numbers on the side of this halftrack?

Re: Dragon Armor halftrack

In the write up on Dragon's site they say that the proto-type had a new number painted over the old one when the 'track was transfered to a new unit or something, and they copied this detail exactly.

I think it's pretty cool.

For some reason I don't care for this camo scheme.

Thanks, I must have missed that. Guess I will have to rub the numbers off and put aftermarket numbers on instead.

Re: Dragon Armor halftrack

I'll definitely get one as it goes well with this StuG:

I don't care much for that numbers, but I think the little oddities make models even more interesting.

I agree, thank God, Dragon gives you 57 varieties of everything; so you can pick the best one or two you want.

Re: Dragon Armor halftrack

What is the difference between a Hornisse and a Nashorn?

Early variants were called Hornisse which translates to bumblebee/hornet but somebody, Hitler its reported, thought that was too wimpy and changed the name to Nashorn or rhinoceros.

According to achtungpanzer.com: Hornisse and Nashorn were almost identical with the only difference being the driver front plate and gun version (unnoticeable).
